Came across this article this morning. With the Downtown LA site looking like the frontrunner for an NFL stadium this could pose to be an interesting development.

Interesting, thanks for the update.

Wow, didn't hear about this...thanks for posting!

The diamond bar location would still be 40 minutes away from Dodger Stadium. Not sure if this would impose on"territorial" rights? It's an issue right now with Giants & A's. Seems like Angels already abandoned their Anaheim title for LA. Either way seems I will have to visit Angeles stadium sooner than later.

That is the reason I went to Oakland when I did - they were talking about building a new stadium, though nothing came of it. I wonder if we could have a section of Stadium Alerts, where information on new stadiums/ teams moving could be placed for both major and minor league teams. I guess that question would be directed at Craig?

@Mark that's a good idea. I can tell you that there is a website that deals almost exclusively with the business of ballparks & baseball. It's www.ballparkdigest.com

@Erin when the Angels became a team in 62' they were included into the LA territory, so in the eyes of MLB the Dodgers and Angels share the market. Territorial rights wouldn't apply here similar to the A's/Giants situation.

Thanks Jim. Great link. Looks like AAA Tuscon may be heading to El Paso in 2014, and the St. Paul Saints may be getting a new stadium opening in 2014. Guess I will be heading back to the Twin Cities.

Dodger fan here but wouldn't mind angels moving to industry. I work two minutes away from that location! I will have more chances to see the great game of baseball!

Angels won't move. The money is in South Orange County not in City of Industry. Plus where Anaheim is offers too many hotels and other amenities.
