Hi- I buying an inscribed brick paver at the new Marlin's stadium as a father's day gift for my husband. I'd like to put something more creative/origianl than "Marlins Forever! The Rodriguez Family". So I was wondering if anyone who has been to other stadiums and seen this type of thing had any suggestions?? My husband's name is Nick, my son's name is Nicky and my husband's father is Nicolas- although "officially" all three are 'Nicolas' on birth certificates.
The pavers allow 8 lines w/ about 2 or 3 words per line. link: https://secure.mlb.com/fla/fan_forum/paver_form.jsp
MY BASEBALL HERO
FATHER, SON AND
GRANDSON
NICOLAS, NICK
AND NICKY
or
MY BASEBALL HERO
NICOLAS RODRIGUEZ
or
TAKE ME OUT
TO THE BALLGAME
I DON'T CARE IF
WE EVER GO BACK
NICOLAS, NICK, & NICKY
thoughts?? thank you!
ps. my father in law is older and his health is a concern for us right now, and one idea i had was to put : "MARLINS OPENING DAY WE WERE THERE" w/ their names, but I really don't know if he will be able to be there :(

Hi Nicky -
Other ideas....
How about:
MY BASEBALL HERO(S)
NICOLAS RODRIGUEZ(S)
GO MARLINS!
LOVE, NICKY
thanks Meg!
I know the wording/grammar is kinda funny on my first one, but my thought is that any of them could look at the stone and it would apply to them, (ie., my husband has said that the new baby is his "hero") idk.
I like your idea of making it "from" nicky. it made me think of it in a spainsh version:
My Baseball Heros
Papa y Abuelo
Nick & Nicolas Rodriguez
te quiero,
nicky
I like it in Spanish. It's more eloquent and expressive.
Best of luck with your decision. I imagine whatever inscription you use, your husband will love the idea.
