Road trippin to Texas

Hi all, heading out next month to do most of the Texas teams, ending up over in AZ and SD. Anyone have any idea if there's anything to do down in southern Texas? Like, Harlingen, and Edinburg southern Texas, about as southern texas as you can get lol. Also, any tips for the parks in Phoenix and SD would be appreciated. Have a great chasing summer everybody.

About as southern Texas as most central Texans usually go is South Padre. Best Texas beaches ...can get pricey though. Corpus Christi has a lot to see as a bay city but in 20 min or less you can get over to Mustang island and then to Port Aransas ... Pretty popular. Corpus is also home of the Corpus Christi Hooks - Astros double A team.
