I am leaving on the 22nd and going to the White Sox on the 23rd, the Cubs on the 24th and then the Brewers on Sun the 26. I can't wait. I read a bunch of info on places to go before the games in Chicago. Lots of good info. When are you planning on your NY trip?
  • Ryan (13)

Just wanted to let you know if you are interested, but the new Sporting News Mag. has rated all 30 baseball parks and what things people and players like about each stadium. It is the issue with the dodgers on the front of it.
  • Steve Koepsel

    Hi Craig. Thanks.
  • Adam

Thanks for the welcome, Coors field next weekend (GO GIANTS!!!!!)
  • Douglas Lehrer

    Hello Craig:

Thanks for the welcome. This looks like a great site. I will try to post pics shortly. It is great to see that there other baseball funs out there who love to travel. If you are ever planning to make it to Miller park and need tickets, let me know. By the way Safeco is in my top 5 of best ballparks. Currently at 28 and counting.

    Doug

Yeah, I got to see history. I have never been that excited at a game before. The experience will be one that I may never get to have again but one that I will remember for a very long time. I was like a little kid at the game, I loved it!
  • Steve Behm (30 current/8 ret'd)

No kidding - rough year yet again. I don't know which is worse: the good first half that inspires hope followed by the inevitable collapese; or being out of it from Day 1 (see: Pirates, Nationals)
  • Steve Myers

Thanks Craig! Kinda learning my way around yet.
  • Kathy & Jim

Thanks -- still trying to figure our way around. Visited new Yankee Stadium and Citifield this week, bringing our total to 14 active!
  • Anthony Salter

    Hello, Craig.
    I'm Japanese ballpark chaser.
I had already visited all the MLB ballparks for past 10 years.
In this year, I have visited the new ballparks, Yankee, citi, bush, great american, and miller.
I' m very glad to join the ballpark chaser because I find a lot of friends with common interests and dreams.
  • Brenda (13new4old MLB/10MiLB)

It was the most delicious ballpark food I ever had! The half-smoke sausage is exquisitely spiced, and the grated cheese, chili, and raw onions didn't mask the taste, but really added to the overall flavor of the thing. I will go back to a Nationals game just to get one of these. Soooooo good! Have you ever had one?
  • Stanley Ferris (41)

Thanks! Can't believe I didn't find this place sooner!
  • Ken Lee (30/43)

Hey Craig! This will be my 4th time in the HIH Cafe. I have sat inside once, front row and didn't care for it... looking at my reflection in the glass all game, no thanks! :) The others we have sat outside, upper row each time, and I loved it. This time is outside, first row, should be the best seats we have had. Will post a few pix afterward... :)
  • BILL (38)

Hey Craig. Went to Yankee Stadium on Labor Day. It was nice but I enjoyed Citi Field the next night a lot more. Nicer park and significantly better food options and quality. Busch Stadium, Coors Field, and Target Field is all that's left...next spring!
  • Ken Lee (30/43)

So, now that you have been to both the new New York parks, which did you like best? Just curious. :)
  • Ken Lee (30/43)

RE NY Parks: I gotta say that I much more enjoyed Citi Field to Yankee Stadium, just the overall everything about both. I do look forward to going back there next year with Chuck Booth though to check them both out again :)
  • Michael Umpstead

Hi Craig. Thank you! I work with Janeen Bonacci and she referred me to this site. It's been fun to mess around on here the past couple days. Nice website!

  • Jose B

    Thanks Craig for the welcome!

I can't wait to see a game at the Twin's new Target Field.
  • Doug Miller (30)

Yeah, but doesn't getting spammed mean you're hitting the big-time? It's a compliment, right? Ha-Ha.
  • Ian Andrew

    Thanks for the Welcome,

I have been to PNC Park, Camden Yards, and Safeco Field. I have also been to JFK Stadium when the nats were playing in it before they went into their new stadium and Shea Stadium last year before the Mets moved into Citi Field.
  • Doug Miller (30)

Fan Fest was absolutely insane. I was going to hit both days, but just did Sunday since I'd spent a lot of time on the road this last week. I took my two girls right at 11am, it was lined up around Safeco and to the far entrance of the Qwest event center. I guess they had 16,000 people these two days, double last year's attendance.

We had a great time, though. Playing catch on the field was the definite highlight!
  • Nema Brewer-Candy

Thanks for looking into this! Ticko.com used to have a real nice section that told you the number of rows in a section and the best seats. You would think as many times as I've been to Great American that I would pay attention, but I guess I never think about it! I just really don't want to sit under the upper section....it makes me feel like I'm not really at the game. I know that must sound weird!
  • Scott Bell (30/42)

Thanks Craig. Is this site your thing? If not, do you know who did set it up? I wish I had found it sooner - but better late than never.
Take a look a the blog I just posted as: Forget Pete Rose, WE should be in the Hall of Fame and let me know what you think
  • Julie Lozier

Hey thanks! I need to figure out how to navigate!
  • Doug Miller (30)

    Indeed, I'm pumped! You going?
  • Paul Swaney (19)

    Craig-

How do I add the number of stadiums after my name?
  • Paul Swaney (19)

Thanks Craig...I have been to six no longer in commission, and 18 that are still around (Tiger Stadium, County Stadium, Metrodome, Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, and RFK)...so I went with 18 is that the standard or do people include all current and historical...Thanks again...
  • Karrie

CRAIG!!! Going to Cali in September and going to knock out two or three parks :) Woohoo! I thought you'd be proud. BTW, we need a squash date before your little munchkin comes along. Interested?
  • Linda Sands

    Thanks, Craig. Happy Opening Day!
  • Hansel Rodriguez

Thanks, Craig. This site is great!
  • Junior (17)

Cool deal...thanks for checking it out. I haven't been updating it as often as I would like to, since I have been focusing a lot on the bike tour coming up. Once that is over, I should be back at it again more routinely. I hope you keep reading my postings. Take care!
  • Doug Miller (30)

It's been packed, to be sure. A lot of travel bunched together has been tough on my kids though, I need to do a better job spreading it out next year. I promised souvenirs though, so that will help for this trip.
  • luis galindo

  • Yankeebiscuitfan

There is a very slim chance that I will go to Montgomery AL, to see my favorite minor league team: the Montgomery Biscuits.
  • Yankeebiscuitfan

That is a long story. In 2004 I discovered Minor League baseball. I knew it excisted, but I never thought about visiting the site. When I went through the list of all teams I came at the Biscuits website. I fell in love with their uniform and cap (yellow is my favorite colour) and their stadium.

I was a member of Baseball Fever (before some nazi administrator seized power) and it appeared that the mother of former Biscuits announcer Jim Tocco was a member there. She urged me to ask questions during the radio broadcasts of her son. This made my bond with the Biscuits even stronger.
  • Luke (8)

Thanks for the welcome. I just added the map widget- pretty cool idea there Craig.
  • Leslie

Thanks Craig! Actually, for the first time in a looooong time, my year includes no major MLB or spring training trips :( BUT I am going to Rosenblatt for the final week of the CWS. I've been to the Blatt the past two years and I must say, it's baseball at its finest.
  • Dennis & Laura VanVleet

Thanks for the welcome, Craig! This site ROCKS!
