Hi David, thanks for the welcome. Are you going to Cellular Field and Wrigley Field?  What are your favorite ballparks?
  • Roman Mozol

Sounds good David. I think you will have fun in Chicago. Go White Sox!
  • Cameron Hudson

    Hey David

I am glad i stumbled across this website. It is nice to have people to talk to about baseball. Most of my friends like it but not like I do. So i just updated my parks on my page. I have 9/30 and am going to see the Braves in August.

  • Cameron Hudson

What I mean is that I have been to 9 of the 30 stadiums. I saw the white sox and tried to see the cubs but the game was rained out two years ago. You will have a blast.
  • Jim Wood (46 MLB)

    Hey David,

You're very welcome.  I live in NC now and only go back to Chicagoland periodically- I won't be there that weekend, but in 2012 I'd be happy to meet up for a game on the East Coast.  Hope you enjoy the Chicago games!

  • gary faucon (21)

yes, i am flying to st louis on 9/21, on 9/23 i will be at busch stadium for cards vs cubs. i try to get to at least one fly away park a year, last year it was wrigley, in 2009 it was cellular

    David,

I didn't realize when I commented about Chicago and Milwaukee you live in New Jersey and that you like the Mets. I have season tickets for them with my friend the King. We sit in section 516 row 3 seats 7 & 8. If and when you to Citi Field, stop by so we can meet and greet. I'll give plenty of details being your upcoming trip. Yours truly, Gary Herman
  • Rich Lyons

Yes david we are off to Pittsburg this weekend, and then Philli, to watch the Sox take two from the Penn State teams!  First time to these parks for me and the kids.
  • Rich Lyons

Thanks - I will check some of these ideas out.

In the Red Sox we trust,

    Rich

    Hey Dave,

Glad to hear your coming to Miller Park!! Its a great park to watch a ballgame at. Some tips I have for you would be to tailgate in the parking lot before the game, its always a great atmosphere around the stadium before gametime and you will be sure to meet plenty of nice people. Also make sure to catch the sausage race its something you will never forget.

    Erik

  • George Ianello

Would like to try Philly and or Wash, which are within driving distance, but can't get a buddy to commit.
  • Ben Christian (27 cur, 40 total)

Hi David, I am going to Miami on September 3rd vs. PHI.  Last chance to see the supposedly worst park.  I still need Minnesota new, St. Louis new, Cincinnati new, Oakland and SF.  I live in Harrisburg, PA, so it has been convenient to hit all the new east coast ballparks in the last couple years.  How about you?
  • Mary (17)

David, I do have suggestions re visiting Nats Park, will write more about it to you probably this weekend. FYI, we just came back from our big road trip of the summer, went out to San Francisco and San Diego for the Nats series there - brings us up to 13 current parks (16 including RFK, old Yankee Stadium, and Shea.)
  • Chris McLachlin

David that sounds like a great trip! I used http://www.baseball-roadtrip.com/ to find a perfect driving trip for me:

    Aug. 17 Dodgers @ Milwaukee

    Aug. 18 Yankees @ Minnesota

Aug. 19 Rangers @ White Sox

    Aug. 20 Cardinals @ Cubs

    Aug. 21 Indians @ Tigers

Lots of driving, but I am really looking forward to it. Booking tickets and hotel rooms as we speak.

  • Jacob Voegele

Hey thanks for the welcome I am going to both dodger stadium and angel stadium this weekend
  • Marty Party (30)

  • Kent Dudrear

Thank you for the nice welcome.  I'm glad to hear something nice about the Trop.  Granted, it is not going to top anyone's list, but its not as bad as so many people think.  Plus, the Rays organization seems to go out of their way to entertain and see that all enjoy the time there.   Kent Dudrear

My husband and 6 year old son are the true ballpark chasers. Within the last year my hubby mentioned he would like to see as many parks as possible with our son. He doesn't think getting to all of them is realistic, I would love to make it come true over the years. I am pretty sure I am on more of a mission right now than he is. We went to Progressive Field on the 4th to see the Indians vs. the Yankees (the boys in my family are Yankees fans). There is a possiblity of them making it to Comerica Park in Detroit as well. Other parks we have been to but will need to revisit with our son are Wrigley and Great American.

  • Jamie Jarreau(3)

Just got back from St. Louis, watched 3 game series against Phillies.   To bad I missed Pujols, but everything else was great.
  • Tracy Dereszynski

will this be your first visit to Miller Park??  The Sausage Race is always right before the bottom of the 6th inning...totally FUN!!!!

there is even a "meat locker" gift shop to pick up your favorite racing sausage gear.

let me know if you need any other tips for Miller Park and enjoy your stay in Milwaukee :-)

  • John Surtin

Not at the moment.  While I love baseball and love visiting new places, I have 5 kids and that limits my time and my $$$.  LOL  My plans to hit all stadiums is a LONG-RANGE goal.
  • John Surtin

Yeah...at this point in time, the kids are my whole life!  Once they start flying the coop, I'll turn a little more attention to this, but that is still a ways away - they are 10, 8, 7, 5 and 4.  LOL.  My wife and I are both HUGE baseball / Cardinal fans and we both want to get out and do this together.  Some day...
  • Bartley Williams

Hey David. Just got back from Denver yesterday. Completed my 9th MLB stadium visit at Coors Field. Awesome ballpark experience and it ended there...!
  • Chris Melia

Thanks, David. Glad to be a part of Ballpark Chasers!
  • Bartley Williams

9 stadiums, BUT that dates way back to the Kingdome days (Seattle) when I was a youngster. Also been to old NY stadium (Yankees), Fenway, and Chicago twice (with my family as an early 20's). Do those count? I might have a picture. But I really want to say (officially) I am going to only include 2 on this website (videos): Wrigley & Coors from this year.
  • Bartley Williams

Sweet! I could talk about MLB ballparks, etc. year round even though those other 2 sports (that are in a lockout by the way) are FAR behind our Nation's REAL Pastime.
  • Nelson Wesley Young

No, not any big trips - but I am going to the Rangers v Halos game tomorrow afternoon in Anaheim.
  • joe nadon 7/10

thanks! nothin' planned for sure this year- but depending on how the playoff schedule works out i might pull something off. this is a great site!
  • Stephanie Caruso

Thanks -- hey what does the (10/16) mean is that 10 MLB and 16 minor league parks?
  • Katie Kirdahi

I'm actually in the middle of one right now! We did 2 games in KC finishing up 2 in St. Louis, the on to 2 in MIL and 2 in Chicago to see the White Sox and Red Sox.
  • Ryan Carter

Hi David. I'm going to catch a Yanks/Sox game at Fenway next weekend, and Anaheim in September. I've seen both stadiums before, but it's been a long time since I've been to Fenway and I've never been there to see the Yanks so I'm looking forward to it.
  • Paul Savidge

    Thanks David!
  • Katie Kirdahi

No I won't be there then. I actually just got back yesterday. It was a blast.
  • Ethan Barton

    Thanks!
  • Tara E (20)

So far this season I've gone to Kansas City, Philly, Atlanta, and Toronto. I might be going to St. Louis and NY for Yankees this season yet. What about you?
  • Joe Trezza

Thanks.  Happy to be here.  Lets go Mets!
  • Andrew Mitchell (20)

Thanks David, that be fun.  I see you have it checked off already, doing it at a young age lol.  Toronto has changed soooooooooo much.  Amazing city.  I would highly recommend you check out Real Sports Bar before of after game as it was just built brand new about 2 lights from the stadium and just won an award for best sports bar in North America.  The sports lovers dream when you see the TV's.
  • philip moser

    Thank-you David

I'm looking forward to sharing the Ballpark experiences and getting to know where everyone is on the map checklist.

  • Chris

Nothing long distance... I am doing a mini-swing through Philly, Baltimore and Washington in September... you?
  • Doug

    Thanks David!
  • matt flor

I did St louis, to CHW to MIL to Beloit WI (twins A) to Clinton IA (mariners A) back to CHC. Six games i six days. Plus threw out the first pitch in Beloit
  • Craig (17)

Unfortunately, no. As long as I get tickets to Opening Day in Miami, I think that will be my only ballpark vacation this season.

  • Andrew DeBaeremaeker (17)

Thanks for the welcome David. My profile picture was taken at Citi Field.

  • johnny Harrison

Its a great stadium and its got A/C which makes it the perfect place in a houston summer

  • johnny Harrison

Well Dallas can be ruff in July and August I have been to quite a few games during those months that temps on the field were 130

  • Andrew DeBaeremaeker (17)

    Hi David,

I was just wondering where you stayed in Milwaukee? I looked at the Chasers Guide and was wondering if you have any input?

  • Craig (17)

Cool! Let me know once you have it booked!

  • Craig (17)

What's your budget? My recommendations are here http://www.ballparkchasers.com/notes/Safeco_Field

  • Craig (17)

Hey David! Nothing organized by us. We are looking at Safeco for 2015 and Orioles Park for 2016. Nothing confirmed yet but that is our target. Hope to meet up with you then!

  • Craig (17)

Hey David! Just busy planning our next meetup! How is your season going?
