The annual summer trip brings us to PNC this year.
Just like last year this trip is a bunch of of dudes leaving Texas to go drink a lot of alcohol and mix in a few baseball games.
Any recommendations for Pittsburgh? Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions on something fun or unique that I should check out in the Dallas area this spring? We will be there for 2 days and the only plan I have is going to a Friday night Rangers game. We will be traveling with a very energenic 3 yr old so keeping that in mind, bars will be out for us. Thanks for any suggestions!

I am glad to have found this little corner of the world wide web.
I was born 4/22/70 and have been a baseball fan my whole life.
I have attended tons of games at Dodger Stadium but my first love will always be Anaheim Stadium/Edison Field/Angel Stadium of Anaheim. My story is I'm sure like so many others. It was 1975 and my dad wanted to take me to see the Angels take on the 3 time defending World Series Champion Oakland A's. I can still remember walking hand in hand with my…

Hi,
My name's Diane and I love this site. Thanks, Craig! My college roomate (from Atlanta) and I (from Portland, Oregon--originally from the North Side of Chicago) started meeting every summer to go to a game. So far, we've been to Seattle, San Francisco, Wrigley Field, Atlanta, Baltimore, the old Yankee Stadium, Boston, Minneapolis. This summer we're going to Denver and just bought tickets down the first base line for a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains, according to the Coors…

I recently joined Ballpark Chasers and am really enjoying the content on this site so I thought I'd contribute my background to start off with.
I have lived in Iowa all my life so I've never lived within 2 hours of an MLB stadium. I grew up in Shenandoah (southwest corner of the state) so we were just over 2 hours from Kansas City and that has led to my Royals fandom (yes, I'm still a fan after nearly 30 years of no postseason play). I went to college in and now live in the Des Moines…

I just wanted to use this first blog to introduce myself, and let everyone know where I've been as far as baseball parks go. My favorite one are from the minor leagues, but also enjoy college, independant leagues, and a few of the majors. My kids and I enjoy the teams here in Michigan, like the West Michigan Whitecaps, Traverse City Beach Bums, Great Lakes Loons, and Lansing LugNuts. My dad and I also take a baseball trip every year to catch some games of other great venues. Here's my…

Hey everyone!
I am a HS Math Teacher and was recently awarded a grant to spend the month of June traveling to over 12 different stadiums/cities. My plan is to use Megabus as my mode of transportation for most of the trip. I will be traveling to Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York (NYY), Boston, Cooperstown, New York (NYM).
My love of baseball drives this project. Many students have never become familiar with this…

My quest to see every MLB team is getting more difficult now that most of the remaining teams are on the other side of the country which requires long-distance travel over either an extended period of time (which isn't very realistic given work demands) or multiple trips over several years (which will be expensive). Although the idea of a road trip sounds great, I think the reality will be the multiple trip scenario.
It might be splitting hairs, but with all the construction of new…

I love the MLB Network, but there's a huge opportunity for Original Programming. I sent them a proposal for MLB Summer Break -- http://www.blockingtheplate.com/apps/blog/show/22029986-mlb-summer-break- -- What do you think? What other programming ideas do you have? If you like MLB Summer Break and are on Twitter, please tweet @MLBNetwork and @MLB directly! (I'm trying to build some momentum!)

The long-awaited re-release of A bLISTful Five Years: The Baseball Stadium Tour is official. Although we didn't make it in time for this Christmas - this is a great gift idea for NEXT Christmas!
Ok... that's a bit of a stretch - however, if there's anyone that you forgot to buy for, well, what better way to say "sorry I forgot about you," then with the gift of baseball and hilarity.
The Baseball Stadium Tour is re-loaded and re-released... Check it out (and BUY it) on…
