I spent my vacation in California and Nevada this year. Four years ago I attended my first minor league game and I fell in love immediately. So it was clear to me that I wanted to visit the Epicenter this year.
The Epicenter is the home of the Dodgers' high A affiliate, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The stadium is built on the San Andreas fault. It is claimed that this stadium can survive a heavy earthquake. The stadium is part of a sports facility of the city of Rancho…

This was supposed to be it: San Diego, PETCO, ballpark #36. Was to have flown out Friday but was diagnosed with a kidney stone (which is STILL in me!) Wednesday, and couldn't go. Hopefully United Airlines and Hotwire come through with the refunds. Hoped the Red Sox would be going to PETCO next season for the reschedule but, no such luck: the Padres come to Fenway but the Red Sox do not go to San Diego (this series would have been Padres hosting Rockies).

Big news, had a Strasburger last night at Nats Park! I was at the game with a group of friends, six of us, at one of the tables at the Red Porch, back around where we were facing the center field entrance. I'm a bit of a newbie around here, and given that I only hit the road once a summer for games, I hope you'll pardon my relative shyness. Of course, if anyone has questions about the Rogers Centre, feel free to pester me.
Last weekend I scratched two more stops off the bucket list - Miller Park and Wrigley Field. It was at the latter that I ran into my first real dumb situation in my fifteen stops to date. As wonderful as Wrigley is due…

On Thursday June 28th 2012 I finally reached stadium #30. On this trip my wife and I drove 3,700 miles. Pennsylvania to Miami and Tampa. Also stopped in Atlanta on the 29th and St Louis on July 1st and the Louisville Slugger Musuem on the way home. My wife needs Comerica Park to reach her 30th stadium. We have a mid August trip planned for Detroit. Overall I've been to 40 MLB stadiums since the VET back in 1986. To remember this amazing journey I purchased 1st base in St.Louis on July 1st.…
