Greetings Chasers. My wife and I are headed to Texas in 2 weeks to catch Rangers/Red Sox Friday and Astros/Tigers Saturday. These will be our 17th & 18th parks and are very excited. Just looking for any must do experiences around those parks and in between from those of you with Texas experience. Time is limited as we are flying into Ft Worth Friday afternoon and out of Houston Sunday morning. Thanks for any dining, drinking, & experience suggestions!

We went to Chicago for the day to see the Twins play the White Sox. Beautiful blue sky, a little cool in the shade. Close game until later in the game when Josh Willingham hit a bases-loaded clearing double to make it 5-2.
Took a taxi from/to the airport. Easy stadium to walk around in. Quite a few White Sox players had spots where they were giving autographs before the game.

My apologies if you've already read my post on the Chasers' facebook group page but I figured there are probably quite a few who aren't all that into the whole facebook thing.
Hope everyone is enjoying the young 2013 season.
I'm heading out to the West Coast in a couple of months and am looking to take in games at both AT&T Park and Safeco Field. I'd really appreciate if anyone can give me some info on either of those ballparks, and am particularly interested in where is best…
Let me get one thing out there right now. I love Stubhub. It's singlehandedly revolutionized the secondary market for event ticket sales. I no longer am forced to endure the unpleasant experience of haggling with nefarious characters in dark alleys for overpriced tickets that may or may not allow me entrance into the stadium when I walk up to the gate. In this day and age of electronic ticket scanners, I'd go as far as to say the security of Stubhub is an absolute necessity for the baseball…

Besides the visits to current Major League ballparks, I have been fortunate to have visited many of the lost ballparks over my lifetime.
My first ballgame was between the Pirates and Redlegs (as they were known in the 1950s) at old Crosley Field in Cincinnati in 1953, the Redlegs winning 9-2. The following year my family moved to the Washington, DC area and I saw my first of many games at Griffith Stadium. Two games really stand out in my memory. The first one was in 1956 between the…

Well 2 weeks into the season and have had an oppurtunity to get to 3 parks between April 4th and April 9th. Started off the trip in Chicago on April 4th at US Cellular (first time at this park). Then followed it up with Mets game at Citi Field on April 7th and then again seeing the Mets in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park. Working on next trip but may just go to a few minor league parks during a long weekend.

Here are my rankings for every stadium that I've seen. It's purely subjective, but I based these rankings on architecture, atmosphere, how well they fit within the city they are in, and overall history...

2. PETCO Park (San Diego, CA)
3. Busch Stadium III (St. Louis, MO)

Good Evening Friends and Fellow Chasers,
After visiting all current MLB parks and over 120 minor league parks my son and I have come to realization that over 80% of those games have been seen without having our favorite teams present. Over the next couple years I'm going to go back and visit some of our sites and see the stadiums with our teams (Rays is John's and Phillies is Kaelen's) and their affiliations. Does anybody feel the same way, or starting over because it's been done…

After 5 annual trips, we're now up to 23 out of 30. This year, just the two opening days Houston and Phoenix, maybe a bit more in September. Next year we'll try to do the five remaining East Coast cities--Detroit, Toronto, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and NY Yankees. After that, just Seattle and Kansas City. Our plane from Chicago to Dallas stopped in Kansas City for 30 minutes--does that count? :) My son just turned 15, and miraculously, he is still speaking to me, sort of. One more year is all I…
ContinueI forgot to blog the trip of 2012. My son and I did SFO to Denver to Milwaukee to Baltimore to Boston to New York to Pittsburgh to Chicago to Minneapolis to home in SFO again. 8 games in 8 cities in 8 days! Whew! Everybody asks how to set up intense schedules like that, but it's really just getting all the schedules next to each other and seeing which cities have home games, plus which cities have free or at least cheap flights between them, then stringing them all together. Probably old hat…

I'm doing a northwest trip in June, with games in Helena, Great Falls and (via Glacier National Park) Missoula, Montana, Spokane and Pasco (Tri-City), Washington, and Boise, Idaho. Also looking forward to MLB games in Milwaukee (including a side trip to Appleton, WI (Fox Cities Stadium)) in June, and Detroit and Cleveland in July. Also will take in games at Lakewood, Rockland County, and the renovated PNC Field (Scranton-Wilkes-Barre) and New Britain Stadium, all of which I've been to…

April 1, 2013 - UHG! Opening Day and another baseball season.....April Fools!
Opening Day 2013 at Nationals Park, the Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals, a "Daddy/Daughter Opening Day".
Sofia, four years old, attended her 3rd consecutive Opening Day and it's amazing to see her grow up through the lens of the ballpark.

This year our trip is to see the Nats v. Mets at Nationals Park and Orioles v. Red Sox at Camden Yards.
A couple of years ago I don't think I would have been too excited to see the Orioles or Nationals but if they are as good as last year, this should be a good trip. I have already been to Camden Yards and got to see Eddie Murray hit his 501st home run. I can't wait to get back and show my kids - I absolutely loved the ballpark experience there. I think the boys will love the Babe…
