After a long offseason dealing with Hurricane Sandy at work and a long northeast winter at home we can't wait to enjoy some summer fun at ballparks and national parks! This summer we're going to cross the country and head to Seattle's Safeco Field for the first time. This is our only new park this summer (we might make a weekend trip to Toronto though) but we intend to hit Glacier National Park and Badlands National Park on the way out and Yellowstone on the way back. We're also making what…

Well, I finalized my regular season schedule. Opening day 4/1 Cards at the DBacks, 5/27 Rangers at the DBacks for a double header and various DBacks games throughout the season. This year I will see the Yankees vs Angels in Anaheim on 6/15, Marlins vs Giants in San Francisco on 6/20, and Yankees vs Padres in San Diego on 8/2 & 8/3. Our big trip this year will be myself, my father, my brother and my brother in law flying from Phoenix to Detroit. We will see the Mariners at the Tigers on…

For the first time in my life, I do something crazy like this.
I will fly to San Francisco to support team Netherlands. Probably it will be only for one game, but I bought tickets for the semi final of March 18 and the final.
I am so freaking excited.

Hello all:
I'm planning a trip to see the Oakland A's play but want to stay in San Francisco and commute to a couple of games. This is my 9th stadium and the 7th of our mother/daughter quest to see the Boston Red Sox play in every AL stadium. Would appreciate any advance ballparkchaser fans can provide on where to stay...what to see...where to sit...and best way to get to and from the stadium.
Final question, "does anyone know what hotel the Red Sox stay at when in…

Just back from a weekend series at University of South Carolina. Very nice college ballpark and very nice people. Fridays game got rained out and was rescheduled for as part of a doubleheader on Sunday. The parking lot I parked in Friday let me park for free for the makeup game. Also a fan gave me a souvenier coca-cola bottle from their 2011 national championship year. This was my 70th park seeing a college game and first college park seeing a nio-hitter as my Albany team got no-hit by SC in…

I was looking to see what it is that everybody has on there "Must do list" when they go to a ballgame. I have to do the following things:
1.Keep my ticket stub
2.Walk around the inside and outside of each stadium
3.Keep Score
4.Get plenty of pictures of the stadium
5.Buy a team hat
6.Eat the signature ballpark food (see my stadium foods blog)
Looking forward to see what everybody else does. Again if anybody has any good foods they have had in Colorado,…

Yesterday I wrote about having picked up a book titled The Baseball Fan's Bucket List. This book has a list of 162 things that we baseball fan's must see, do, get & experience. I'm sure most of you have already done a good number of the things listed in this book, such as Take a Baseball Road Trip ( Listed #1 ), Go to Opening Day ( Listed #3 ), and there's some things that some of us may never do, like Throw Out the First Pitch ( #139 on the list ) or Host a Minor League Ball Player (…

Great site, glad to see people who share the passion of MLB and the ballparks. I've been to a bunch, but still have a long way to go. PNC Park is my favorite, the view on the river is amazing. I've been to the Vet, Old Yankee and Shea as well as the current stadiums I have marked above. I am a big Phillies fan, O's are my AL team and since I now live close to Denver, I am a Rockies fan by default. This summer I have a trip planned to US Cellular, Wrigley (again), Miller Park and Target…

I'm in the planning stages of planning our 2013 ball trip. We (me, my two brothers, dad and uncle) are tying up loose ends on the east coast and are trying to figure out where to go this year.
Looking for someone that may have access to 5 tickets to either the Yankees or the Indians. Looking at the weekend of July 5th for our trip this year.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone......

The annual summer trip brings us to PNC this year.
Just like last year this trip is a bunch of of dudes leaving Texas to go drink a lot of alcohol and mix in a few baseball games.
Any recommendations for Pittsburgh? Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions on something fun or unique that I should check out in the Dallas area this spring? We will be there for 2 days and the only plan I have is going to a Friday night Rangers game. We will be traveling with a very energenic 3 yr old so keeping that in mind, bars will be out for us. Thanks for any suggestions!

I am glad to have found this little corner of the world wide web.
I was born 4/22/70 and have been a baseball fan my whole life.
I have attended tons of games at Dodger Stadium but my first love will always be Anaheim Stadium/Edison Field/Angel Stadium of Anaheim. My story is I'm sure like so many others. It was 1975 and my dad wanted to take me to see the Angels take on the 3 time defending World Series Champion Oakland A's. I can still remember walking hand in hand with my…

Hi,
My name's Diane and I love this site. Thanks, Craig! My college roomate (from Atlanta) and I (from Portland, Oregon--originally from the North Side of Chicago) started meeting every summer to go to a game. So far, we've been to Seattle, San Francisco, Wrigley Field, Atlanta, Baltimore, the old Yankee Stadium, Boston, Minneapolis. This summer we're going to Denver and just bought tickets down the first base line for a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains, according to the Coors…

I recently joined Ballpark Chasers and am really enjoying the content on this site so I thought I'd contribute my background to start off with.
I have lived in Iowa all my life so I've never lived within 2 hours of an MLB stadium. I grew up in Shenandoah (southwest corner of the state) so we were just over 2 hours from Kansas City and that has led to my Royals fandom (yes, I'm still a fan after nearly 30 years of no postseason play). I went to college in and now live in the Des Moines…

Hey everyone!
I am a HS Math Teacher and was recently awarded a grant to spend the month of June traveling to over 12 different stadiums/cities. My plan is to use Megabus as my mode of transportation for most of the trip. I will be traveling to Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York (NYY), Boston, Cooperstown, New York (NYM).
My love of baseball drives this project. Many students have never become familiar with this…
