Just returned from my trip to see the A's vs. M's at the Tokyo Dome.  Flew out of Newark late morning on Tuesday, arrived Tokyo after 14-hour flight the next afternoon without seeing a night.  Checked into a hotel near the Narita Airport and immediately headed for Tokyo, some 40 miles away, by train(s). EDIT:  Talked to the Boss this morning... I am going to be to games in Washington, Baltimore, Philly, and Pittsburgh.  As part of my quest to hit every stadium, one of the things I am doing is trying to eat the ballpark favorite/signature foods at each one.  Anybody who has any suggestions for what I must eat while I'm there would be great.  I will take any suggestions for the other parks as well for when I get ready to go to the other stadiums.

I decided to go out to Chicago on the weekend of March 10^th-11^th.  I wanted to go for the entire weekend but I had a previous engagement for that Friday the 9^th.  I had never been on a commuter train before so I decided to take the Amtrak from Ann Arbor to Chicago.  Round trip the ticket cost me about $70.  At first I was I thought it was pretty cool to be on a train.  The only trains I had been on before were subway cars in NYC, Washington DC, and…

Last year my wife and I got married on July 22nd and then took off from New York to see the ballparks of the midwest.  We enjoyed it so much that this summer we are repeating our trip but travelling further south through Texas and up through Denver and Kansas City.  The parks we have planned for this summer are:

Days after I wrote the update to my 30 ballpark, 30 day plan, things began to finally come together. I had to make a final set of schedule alterations, but the blind baseball traveler is now 55 days from the ultimate baseball dream.

I’ve managed to also make arrangements with a few teams so far to see the field, particularly in the outfield where the ballparks have their personality or lack thereof.

So I've got two baseball trips in the works for 2012.

Trip 1:

Dodgers, Padres, Arizona.  Having lived in San Diego for 6 years, Arizona will be the only new stadium for me.  Nevertheless we will be traveling via RV, which is the coolest mode of transportation there is.  This will be a short but sweet 4 day trip, seeing the stadiums on consecutive days.
