NEW OFFICIAL BALLPARK CHASER RANKINGS
I am writing the novel as we speak and it donned on me to change the rankings because of the NEW/OLD YANKEE STADIUM differential when you put the rankings of the NEW PARK as opposed to the old STADIUM. THE YANKEE STADIUM that closed in 2008 would have ranked 2nd overall-instead NEW YANKEE STADIUM will get the ranking of 13th overall as rated on by 15 chasers rankings who have been to all of the parks.

CITIZENS BANK BALLPARK
PHILADELPHIA
BALLPARK CHASER RANK-16TH
GETTING THERE
Well obviously it this is double edged sword---it is fantastic that the ballpark is so close to the airport in PHILLY, but it is not so convenient for lodging.
Citizens Bank Park is in the same 'SPORTS COMPLEX AREA' that features 'LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD' AND THE 'WACHOVIA CENTER.' This can prove very bad for traffic if another one of these sporting events coincides with a baseball game.…

CHICAGO CUBS—OVERALL BALLPARK CHASER RANK-3RD
GETTING THERE
O'HARE AIRPORT is definitely the better airport to fly in for the game—otherwise if you are driving from EAST or WEST sooner or later you will connect through the 90 and 94 highways, let us concentrate on flying in. O'HARE is one of the bigger airports in AMERICA with lots of restaurants and amenities within. They built the airport knowing full well that many of the travelers would be experiencing delays from the…

LOS ANGELES DODGERS---DODGER STADIUM
BALLPARK CHASER RANK-10TH
GETTING THERE
LAX AIRPORT-Your only real alternative for night games is to drive a car in Los Angeles and brave the traffic—that is if you wish to watch the full game. Read after how to take transit to the games, (you can do this for matinee games).
You have to catch a shuttle bus from any of the waiting area’s outside where it says “COURTESY SHUTTLE FOR CAR RENTAL.’
All of the rental car places…

NEW YORK CITY-
YANKEE STADIUM (IN THE BRONX)
RANK FOR THE STADIUM-2ND
GETTING THERE
LGA/JFK/EWR AIRPORTS
If traveling from out of town there are many ways to end up at Yankee Stadium. Remember to bargain for best price buy using
www.kayak.com and click on the nearby airports feature. Any one of these 3 airports listed above may take you to a ballgame.
I prefer to fly into LGA when attending YANKEES or METS games…

I am not trying to re-break my own record no, this is the start of posting my guides to visiting all 30 major league ballparks, I will post 30 stadiums in 23 days. I am going to save some of the nuances and traditions for the actual story portion of the book. This is an informational guide for those who wish to watch a game-and have all the information to do it.

Here are some ballpark chaser trips to consider when going on a lengthy trip.
CAR RENTALS:
The best way to ensure that you have money left available on your credit card, (keeping in mind that most rental places take a $200 minimum deposit), is to bid on your car through
www.priceline .com. There is a feature where you can bid on your car rental for specific airport locations called ‘BID NOW.” You can offer a price that you have to pay immediately but…

While I am not going on any record chase this year, I feel happy to start off the year by going to a game at DODGER STADIUM last weekend (May.24). I was surprised when I arrived at game time that traffic actually wasn't bad and that the day was cold . I was also sad to hear that JOSE LIMA had passed--he was one of my favorite people in baseball to listen to. I heard him interviewed on JIM ROME's show many times before and it was always awesome---it was always 'LIMA TIME---BELIEVE IT!!!" It was…

If anyone is looking for tickets to the TORONTO BLUE JAYS let me know--I can save you 50% of the price you would normally pay. We have this thing called AIRMILES up here that lets you cash them in for ticket vouchers. The vouchers are good for any game in the season(based on availability--but seriously Toronto hardly sells many tickes anyway). Vouchers do have to be redeemed at GATE 9 OF SKYDOME in person-but I will sell them real cheap to fellow 'chasers'.

This year will be a considerable let down after I visited all 30 parks in 2008 and broke the world record by doing it again 24 days in 2009. There is no real big road trip planned thanks to some new ownership at my job and a falling off of earnings. I will still see games in Colorado, San Diego, the new ball park in Minny and may get another chance to see YANKEE STADIUM. I will take in about 6 games at SAFECO FIELD(which is only a 2 1/2 hour drive for me). That is the bad news(sort…

Doesnt mean that I agree with how the economics of baseball are way out of whack. I was talking with a few other Canadians about the MLB and thought of a radical new change in division re-alignment that may finally end the disparity between all ball clubs having a chance to make the playoffs each year. Much like soccer it would kind of be a tier system. Scheduling and travel wise it makes a lot more sense. For those hardcore fans I would also make each team play at least 2 games against every…

I decided to forego the doubleheaders scenario for now to concentrate on the streaks. I will also save the pre-streak writing for the actual novel itself.. Let us get right to the streak chasing because it has the juiciest content by far....

REMEMBER THESE ARE BASED MOSTLY ON SEEING EVERY PITCH-BUT I HAVE ADDED SOME CLOSE CALLS THAT THOSE NOT LOOKING TO SEE EVERY PITCH BUT KNOCK OFF A STADIUM 2 TIMES PER DAY CAN DO. THESE ARE DOUBLEHEADER POSSIBILITIES I HAVE RESEARCHED. SMALLER AIRPORTS IN A FEW OF THESE DOUBLEHEADERS ARE GOOD BECAUSE SECURITY IS QUICKER IN TINY AIRPORTS WITH ONE OR TWO JETWAYS!!
BOSTON DOUBLE HEADERS PARTNERS ARE: NEW YORK YANKS, METS, BALT, PHILLY

Double headers were the key to beating the streak. I knew this well. I spent about a hundred hours online searching every scenario for every city. I am lucky enough in my pizza delivery job I am able to go on call after eight at night. I have about ten hours of down time a week waiting for late orders. I applied this time to come up with this list.
This is a list based on a master flight schedule from every city of America that had a possibility to arrive at a Major League baseball City in…

It took me about a week to iron the changes necessary to go for the streak chase. The total cost to alter the plane trips and buy additional tickets was about a Thousand Dollars when all was said and done. I was ready for the tickets portion. Before I even bought the tickets I strategically mapped out how the plane fares would work, and the mapping of each park, from one to another, after each game.
For years it had been my dream…

I have 2 published books in circulation already as an author. Now since this is such a cool website, I am going to be writing the rough draft on my page in the form of blogs,…

Chicago Cubs-WRIGLEY FIELD--1.7TH INNING STRETCH-made famous by Harry Caray and kept up by guests NOW. 2. They started throwing the 'opposition's' home runs back onto the field 3. They have their own song "GO CUBS GO" which they play after every win. 4. Of course they have the curse of the 'BILLY GOAT' and also have not won a World Series in 101 years
Houston Astros-Minute Maid Park. 1. They have a train that goes from side to side whenever they hit a…
