OK, so I haven't hit up all 30 MLB Parks yet. I will, eventually. Like the economy, my travel plans have hit the wall....for now . But this past Wednesday was a little personal milestone for me. Having seen the Royals play the Angels in Anaheim this past Wedensday, 5/15/2013, I can now officially say that I have seen all 30 MLB teams in action live !!! Another one of these "so-called" baseball fans bucket list of things I can now cross off. And it only took me 31 years to do this…

Yesterday I wrote about having picked up a book titled The Baseball Fan's Bucket List. This book has a list of 162 things that we baseball fan's must see, do, get & experience. I'm sure most of you have already done a good number of the things listed in this book, such as Take a Baseball Road Trip ( Listed #1 ), Go to Opening Day ( Listed #3 ), and there's some things that some of us may never do, like Throw Out the First Pitch ( #139 on the list ) or Host a Minor League Ball Player (…

Hello all !!! It has been a long time since I have posted about anything here. I hope you've all had a good new year. I certainly can't wait for the baseball season to start. And we all know that the official countdown to spring training starts immediatly after the Super Bowl. As for the Super Bowl, it can't end soon enough for me especially with my 49ERS narrowly missing it this year.
Anyways, I hope you fellow ballpark travelers have your plans set for this summer. …

I'm sure many of you know that baseball has many superstitions. One of those superstitions we are all aware of is that when a no-hitter is in progress players are not to mention it. But as a fan, do you believe in this theory while viewing in the stands or at home ?
Last season, I saw Vicente Padilla twice go past the 5th inning before finally allowing that first hit. Back in July against the Cubs, the fan next to me had the audacity to actually mention it and everyone in…

I'm sure one of the things you've done in your baseball travels is followed your favorite team on the road. If you told me that you'd never been razzed on the road for cheering for your team, i'd say you're lying. Being razzed can be fun so long as it's kept in good taste ( Some fans do tend to have their own definition of taste ). As a Dodgers fan I've had the chance to follow my team in the following places
Turner Field
Minute Maid Park
Old Busch…

I'm sure many of you when on your baseball journeys probably take the time to do some activities not necessarily related to baseball. And on this day when we celebrate Dr. King's birthday, if you should ever make a trip to Atlanta to catch a Braves game, you may want to make it a point, especially if traveling with your family, to stop by the Auburn neighborhood, which is where Dr. King was born and raised. There you will see the house he grew up in, as well as the historic Ebeneezer…

Hey all. With baseball season over I wouldn't think that any of you have nothing to fill between now and April. And I am pretty sure that many of you are fans of other sports too. I am also sure that some, or perhaps many of you have or will be traveling to other sporting events too in the time between now and Opening Day 2011. As for me, I'll be going to a few L.A. Kings games here and there, and perhaps a Clippers game too. As for a Laker game, I bleed Purple and Gold, but tickets are just…

Like many of you it is my goal to one day venture out to all 30 MLB ballparks. Right now, I have been to 17 of the current 30 stadiums, however, I may be slowed down right now as reality has set in, you know, job lay off, time to look for work. It's all good, while there are those who we're able to accomplish all 30 in an entire summer, and I commend you on this, and there are those who did all 30 over a period of time, some day, I will be joining that list as well.
I, like many of…

Hey everyone !!! It's been awhile since I've been here. As for my Dodgers, it hasn't been quite the year I was expecting. Anyways, as we all know, especially you fellow ballpark chaser, food, especially road eats, is as much a part of our national pastime as the great game of baseball. And lately, I've been snapping some shots of some good eating, be it in, out, around the old yard, and be it before, during, or after the game. So I thought I'd share with you some pics that I added in a new…

As I, an avid Dodger fan, write this, I still fathom the fact that instead of sharing my thoughts at this moment, I could be at Dodger Stadium at this very moment getting ready for Game 6 of the NLCS. But no, it was just not meant to be. And another fun season of Dodgers baseball , for the 2nd straight year, is ended abruptly by the Fightin' Phils. But unlike last year, this one really hurt. Not that last year didnt. No, I did not enjoy the sight of the Phillies celebrating in front of me in…

Oh it's that most wonderful time of the year again, and I'm not talking about Christmas . Baseball in October !!!! And for the 2nd straight year, the Dodgers find themselves champions of the NL WEST, this time doing it with 95 wins, their most regular season victories since 1985. Ironic because in 1985 it was the Cardinals who would face off against the Dodgers in the NLCS. It was the first time that the LCS had gone to a best of 7 format since it's inception in 1969 when it was best of 5. The…

For many of us, we are approaching the most exciting part of the season. And like me, I'm sure many of you have plenty of stories to tell of past exciting pennant chases. And with the Dodgers closing in on their 4th playoff appearance in the last 6 seasons, it's easy to understand why many of us here in L.A. are filled with Blue Fever. Of course, we all know that the excitemet in many cases starts before the season even ends, with teams still vying for that ever so elusive playoff spot. One of…

My final stop on my ballpark tour of the Pacific Northwest from 9/2 to 9/4 I would find myself in PGE Park, home to the Portland Beavers, the Padres AAA affilliate.
PGE Park , in the way it's incorporated, is, if there could be such a thing, Dodger Stadium and Wrigley combined. How you may ask ? Well, as for the…

Cheney Field has been a springboard for many MLB players in it's 50 years of service. Players such as Gaylord Perry, Juan Marichal, Mark McGwire, Alex Rodriguez, to name a few, once honed their skills here before the bigs. Cheney Field is currently housed by the Seattle Mariners AAA affiliate Tacoma Rainiers. If you walk…

One of the things I planned to do this season was to visit some minor league parks. I had the opportunity to visit 3 AAA parks this season, and every year, I make it out to a few Rancho Cucamunga Quakes game with my dad, who is an avid fan of Minor League ball and a partial season ticket holder of the Quakes. The 3 AAA Parks I would venture to this season would be Raley Field in Sacramento ( Parent Club....A's ) , Cheney Field in Tacoma ( Parent Club....Mariners's ), and PGE Park in Portland (…

Hey all, I hope you've all had a great summer. My summer ballpark journey would take me through the Pacific Northwest, taking in a Mariners game at Safeco, and then a couple of Minor League Parks as well. My Visits to the Minor's I'll do in my next blog, since I had the chance to visit 3 AAA Parks this season,…

Hey all. In a few minutes, I will be off to Dodger Stadium with the little bro to celebrate our birthdays as we watch our Boys in Blue do battle with the Brewers. OK, the lil' bro aint so little anymore, he just turned 24. But hey, all you big bro's out there knows how it goes.... Anyways, as all you baseball fans know summer just isn't summer without baseball. Let me take you back to my first ballgame on my 8th birthday, August 5th, 1982. The Dodgers were in a tight NL West race with the…
