Hello, I'm brand new here (wish I found this site a few months ago) I am going my "Baseball Dream Trip" in June. I saved the money and got the time off. I have most of my tickets already. I am from Southern California but will be in Arkansas at the beginning of my trip. I am going to each city for a day, with the exception of Chicago and San Diego, so if anyone has tips, please send me a note.. I will look through the archives, but in the meantime I'll post my itinerary.. I can't believe there are more chasers like myself!!

Getting the most bang for my buck, in Chicago I'll catch 2 day/night games with Cubs and Sox, and just now saw that on June 18th while in Boston, the Red Sox and Rays will playing a doubleheader, BooYah!!!
Have you tried all major rental car companies? Seems like one of them should have a better option.
They got me, damn!! A $400 fee for a one way rental, ouCH!!
Now I wonder if I can make a minor change to it.. as I'm looking, I'm looking at either going from (flying, cheap if I purchase now on Southwest) Mil to Minn or Chi from Minn, since I'll be in Chi for a few days I can sacrifice there. Or go from Balt to Atl then to Boston.. and skip Philly since I've been there.. Or last option sneak in a trip to T.B... There is just so many options for a one day flight that I didn't consider until now, and wanna maximize my trip.. I would really like to go to Target Field.
I take it back Ernie. i guess what commenter Tim was saying is the 1 way fee. Yes for that they will charge you a lot. Ive never had to pay because ive always returned it to the place i rented it from. But if you are returning to another city other than the one you rented it from. Then be prepared to pay. better call first and find out how much it will be,so you dont get caught off guard
Who says you have to pay $.50 a mile? Ive rented a bunch of cars and have never been charged for mileage, never. That's how it used to be years ago. Not anymore.make sure you rent from Alamo, Budget, dollar. All those give you unlimited mileage. if not sure, check the website. Just make sure you return it to the city you rented it from. Because if not they will Charge you a lot.
Rental car, didn't quite budget that $.50, but I did plan this out, worked a lot of O.T, so if I have to, I'll pay it.. I'm looking to reserve my car this coming Monday, any ideas?
(Don't know if I reply to your post on your page or on my post)
I'm driving to Mil from K.C, which I have at about 566 miles, that's the only long drive, but I'm going solo so I can do it with minimal stops, Can't wait!!
