Playoff predictions
With the White Sox capturing the final playoff spot, time for some playoff predictions:
Phillies over Brewers in 3. Great offense, great bullpen for the Phillies. Lidge has a chance to shine with no Pujols to face this year in the postseason.
Cubs over Dodgers in 5. This will be a very competitive series and it wouldn't surprise me if the Dodgers win. Lowe, Billingsley and Kuroda were solid down the stretch and there are some question marks with Zambrano and Harden.
Angels over Red Sox in 5. The Beckett injury for the Sox is a key factor, and the Angels have owned Boston this year winning 8 of 9.
Rays over White Sox in 4. The rested Rays will have a decided advantage at home for the first 2 games with the White Sox having just used their top 2 starters Mon and Tue. And the Rays get Crawford back just in time for the playoffs.
NLCS: Phillies over Cubs in 6.
ALCS: Angels over Rays in 5.
World Series: Angels over Phillies in 6.

ughhh...a squeeze play with 1 out, runner on 3rd and a tie game in the top of the 9th! Questionable call that cost the Angels the series!

Gotta say, my pick was Cubs over Angels in 6. So much for that it seems. Originally, I had the Cubs and Brewers in the NLCS (ha!) and the Angels & Rays in the ALCS.
If the 2-0 teams do advance, I'll say Red Sox/Dodgers WS with Boston winning it in 5.

Darnit! I meant to give my predictions this morning and forgot! Oh well, my late picks are:
Phillies over the Brewers in 4
Cubbies over the Dodgers in 5
Angels over the BoSox in 5
Devil...I mean Rays over W. Sox in 5
Phillies over the Cubs in 7. Bartman returns during game 7 to show that he is not the curse; however, he steals a homerun ball from Howard that gives the Phillies the go ahead run in the top of the 9th! Oh, and the Billy Goat runs free on the field in the middle of the 5th! :)
Rays over the Angels in 7 games!
The Rays from Tampa Bay winning the World Series in 6 games!!
