Wow, what a game last night. The Rays go through 5 pitchers in the 8th holding off the Red Sox as they strand the bases loaded. When Barltett made the error to begin the inning, you just knew this was the little opening the Red Sox needed to break through. And they nearly did it...had Coco slid to the base, instead of to the SS, he surely would have been safe, saving them another out.
David Price emerges as the new closer heading into the WS after pitching a strong ninth even after walking the lead-off batter. I think this gives the Rays bullpen a huge boost of confidence after that meltdown in game 5.
I'm just glad the Rays were able to close the deal after the "7 outs to go, 7 runs up" debacle. If the Red Sox would have completed the series comeback, we would have never heard the end of it.

How 'bout them Titans and Longhorns...both of my football teams are sitting atop the standings after dominating performances this weekend.
