Okay, now I wanna share something with ya'll. I just got engaged, Hooray! Now the wheels are in motion, moving in, marriage, honeymoon, etc.  Most of my offseason will be busy.   Here's the thing, she's been to the 12 of 13 ballparks I have been to, the exception being Citi Field.  She supports and enjoys our trips, because they are not only a ballpark trips, we make them vacations.  I buy the tickets and hotels, she is responsible for finding other things to do.  Therefore, if we see a game then sit in our hotel for 3 days and do nothing, she didn't do her job.  If it was up to me, I would watch a game and move to the next city, lets face it, who wants to stay in Cleveland for a weekend?  But we are doing this together and we enjoy each others company.  She likes baseball, NOT loves baseball.

Now, as any woman would, has already picked a month, she wants to get married next June.  Whatever, I just roll with the punches. And of course she is picking a place for our honeymoon, which is a place with NO ballpark, ARGH!!  She says this trip is going to be our honeymoon and not a vacation.  Now there is a minor league team, but, I don't follow minor leagues, not yet anyways.  Besides I think I would have to visit all 50 states to do that. Yes 50, there is baseball in Alaska.  I guess I would have to compromise, besides we are going to D.C. in August. Maybe I can convince her to go to San Fransisco, she is dying to go there.

I just wanted to share this, thank you for your time.

Hey Richard,

Congrats on your engagement.  The best thing about all the cities in the MLB, is that there are great visitor attractions that are not baseball related to do with your spouse.  It is great to have someone travel with you and do a bit of each.  Cleveland-Rock N Roll Hall, San Diego-Seaworld, LAD or LAA, you have Disney, Knotts Berry, Hollywood Studios as examples.  It is wicked your girl will see the value of turning these trips into vacations.  I wish you all the luck Richard,

Nice work, Richard. Congratulations! Something tells me you will still enjoy your honeymoon even if you don't get to a ballpark. :)
