'Drei here, just fininshed listening to the Dodgers 3 game sweep of the Mets. Anyways, I was out at the Ravine last night in the All You Can Eat Dodger Dog section in right field when this never ending question came up.....WHY DO HOT DOGS TASTE SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER AT THE BALLPARK ? Especially Dodger Dogs ? What are you theories folks ?

The best ballpark dog I had was this year in Philly....we went to Dodgers/Phillies on Hatfield Dollar Dog Night and the dogs were deliscious!
The Chicago style dog from Shake Shack at Citi Field was good too. The Oriole Park dog this year was ok and the nathans I had at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday was bland and over done. I will let you all know this weekend how the dogs in DC are tomorrow night!

Yeah, I would agree. I was dissapointed by the dodger dog too. The link above didn't work...try this one.

It's a mental think I think... same reason why a cold beer at a ballpark is better than a cold beer from my fridge... even at 3x the price :) For the record, per my traveling and seeing the ballparks, the Dodger Dog ranks very low on my list of overall best dogs in the majors. :) Just my opinion, naturally, but I was VERY disappointed... especially after years of hype! :)

lol...that is a great question! One of life's mystery's! I think it has everything to do with the type of hot dog they use, the way they cook it and the atmosphere of where you are eating it. This is on my wish list at the moment. www.gilesandposner.com/HotDogRotisserie.htm
