Caribbean Series starts today!!!
Hey friends,
If you've never watched the Caribbean Series, do yourself a favor and check it out. I became a fan in 2005 and watch it religiously on TV every year. It's broadcasted on the MLB Network in English or on ESPN Deportes in Spanish. The passion and level of play is pretty unreal. It first began in 1949 and is played with the winners of each Winter League in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. You even get MLB players in the mix. This year it's in Venezuela and next year it will be in Puerto Rico- hopefully I can actually attend it in person. I've always wanted to visit Puerto Rico, and combining the trip with some baseball or beisbol, would be ideal. Check it out, I promise that you won't be disappointed !

I have to admit, I have never watched this series. You really have me intrigued so I will check it out in HD! You got me Ken...only a wimpy 40 Inch in my house.

Doug you're more than welcome to come down... we got MLBN in HD, 62 Inch tv and cold beer :) Been looking forward to the start... early baseball is ALWAYS worth watching :)

Before last year, I used to watch it on ESPN Deportes in Spanish...it's still worth watching, even if you don't know Spanish. Bummer about not getting the MLB Network.

It's unbelievable that my cable company doesn't have MLB Network yet. Every time I email them (which is a lot), their response gets briefer and briefer. Ha-Ha.
I'd be all over that right now, and feel the same way you do about wanting to visit Puerto Rico on a baseball/relax vacation. That would be awesome.
