Hey Chasers,

One of the questions that hasn't been asked too often is, "How do you catalog your trip(s)" Most of us have photos, tickets, etc. But some have a quirky side as well, "I'm not leaving this park until I get a ball."

What do you do to catalog? What would you have done differently?

Keep the Quest going.

One more thing - my older daughter (almost 13) collects keychains and my younger daughter (10) collects foam fingers. So we always get one of each for them when it is a family trip. My kids have a pretty good start if they want to be Ballpark Chasers like dad - both have been to 6 parks (Boston, Baltimore, Washington, Arizona, Chicago-Wrigley and Cleveland).

I keep ticket stubs (even if I printed them...boo), I get a stuffed animal from the team shop for my little one, and after the game I run through the good seats and look for discarded ice cream helmets. I usually find 5-10 of them, and then the wife eats ice cream out of them (yes, we wash them first!)

We like to get a stuffed version of each team's mascot and keep it on a shelf in our house. Surprisingly though many teams do not have stuffed version's of their mascot in their store. For example, Atlanta had a stuffed scary rabbit thing that we bought. We of course keep our ticket stubs and take lots of photos. I like the idea of a logo ball though as we get them at some of the museums we have visited; rock n roll hall of fame, coca cola factory.

Trips to a stadium for a first time, I like to get ticket stubs vs online tickets. Pretty much I like ticket stubs unless it's a spontaneous trip. If I'm going to a stadium that had the Allstar game, I like to get an item that has their Allstar logo. I like to get a program and if I can some sort of unique item, such as a picture frame, book, and as a girl, I love finding unique jewelry pieces, such as the parachute cord bracelet made by women in Afghanistan.

must haves for me: pocket schedule, program, home team cap (if possible) and ticket stub (and of course plenty of photos).
optional: lapel or hat pin with team logo only if I like the logo; same with T-shirt.
former: souvenir cups (but gave up sodas so I don't do those anymore)
change: I think I would do logo balls over the caps. Caps are getting too expensive compared to the price of a logo ball.

I definitely get photos. I always frame my tickets and try to get a ball if I can. Also, I make sure to buy something with the name of the stadium on it.

I definitely get pictures and I check in on Foursquare and the MLB At the Ballpark app. The one souvenir I always buy is a logo ball because you can pretty much always find one. One thing that I surprisingly don't keep are ticket stubs - in the Internet age I usually just print at home and recycle the used "stub"
