Despite the rumor, Citi Field will keep it's name and the 20-year sponsorship agreement with Citigroup. Reports are circulating that the new stadium construction is nearly complete.

The 45,000 seat open-air ballpark will include spacious concourses with 360-degree field views and wider seats with more legroom. Citi Field will also offer new restaurants, bars, clubs and lounges with most of them looking out on the field. In addition, the Mets will feature party decks, picnic areas, a Fan-Fest family entertainment area and an interative Mets Museum. Check out the video below for one of the first looks at Citi Field!

Just found this new video on MLB.com. Have we heard when tours are starting?

Thanks to S&S Seating for their great photos of what is left of Shea Stadium as well as other parks that went through demolition.

I can't wait to see Citi Field in person but so sad to see the demolition pictures from Shea.
