While I agree that is Josh's streak is 'extremely impressive doing all of his by car or ground transportation, the schedule to try and break such his attempt of only those guidlines with a 30-25 is virtually impossible. Add that I am a Canadian, and can't bring a U.S rental car to Toronto, Canada, and it is made even harder to accomplish the task. Only Detroit via a greyhound bus would be a possiblity. Besides that the doubleheaders are liimited to just driving or ground transport. I have 3 doubleheaders that qualify for that with CHC-MIL, LAA/LAD, NYM-PHI. I would could have tried CLE-PIT and throw in one of those crazy need a 2 hr 15 game attempts like CIN/CWS CIN/STL. SF AN OAK did not have matching skeds for this, and neither did chc/cws although just like NYY/NYM that would take out the other attempt anyway. To say that not as well with BAL-WSH. FORGET ABOUT a NYY-BOS with that traffic too. So Yeah, I am going to take all of the advantages of my knowledge of the stadiums and how to get there. My method of flying almost everywhere might do me in with flight delays, but this whole thing is chance anyway. If there is any long extra-inning game or rainout at an in-opportune time any one of these attempts could be foiled. Having said that breaking the record in any way you do it would be impressive.
The GWR(Guinness Book of World Records) guidelines are very strict too. It states that during the 'attempt' you can not in danger the general public in any way either-which would include excessive speeding. I just found driving lends itself to that anyway. What I also found out last year is that the earliest you can fly out of a town the better, but not to shorten the window of a night game to be in extra innings. Day games are also risky when flights are involved. This year I have more night games, and those day games are usually reserved for the doubleheader attempts---or that i can get there by driving there the next day---and not be 'dependant' on flying. The cost for this trip is going to be about 8000 dollars US. Since I spent so much on my trip last year, I accumulated several free hotel nights, flights and 13 free car rental days. As a traveller I will lend a few tips here in general I found out about.

For instance a trip from pittsburgh to detroit is about 200 dollars on nwa, but a flight to indianapolis with a one-stop layover in 'DTW' is 115 dollars. All you have to do is not board the second flight and walk off. So this means you can tag luggage. Also, as to not piss-off the given airline, make it a one-off flight from the carrier in your trip planner. Another one is a flight from Cincinnati to chicago is 190 dollars while a flight to New york(which is farther in miles distance) is 148 dollars with a 'lay-over in chicago" there is another flight i have which is great for the streak in case I need to do this again. A flight on aug.12 from minnesota to atlanta carries over a sop-over in NEWARK(EWR) should i need to do the same thing again.

if you book your car rentals from expedia, and are in need of a one-way rental, you can pretty much get the drop fee waived in lieu of a higher daily rate if it is within 24 hours. If it is one minute longer the waive is re-instituted. Also, going within the state is usually prone to fees being lower. One of the many obstacles of ballpark chasing is that dreaded one way fee. Look for the two other blogs coming
