Inquiry on Gameday Travel to Colorado, Bay Area

Hey Guys and Gals,

I'm back and I am ready to go exploring many of the ballparks in this country this summer! I will have some extra cash because I graduate and I get a trip or two that I am planning for leisure. My goal is to see some more parks!

With that being said, I am thinking of visiting family in Colorado Springs for a week. This would naturally mean that I would have been accompany me in a Rockies game and would like to know what time to leave might be best or what days are usually best for deals.

Same goes with the Bay Area. I might be flying out there to visit a HS friend who studies at a local university in the area.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

In the Bay Area, virtually any day is a good deal to see the A's. Wednesdays are generally dirt cheap. The opposite goes for the Giants, but both parks and both teams are well worth seeing and super easy to get to. BART trains take you to the gates of the Coliseum, and you can either walk or take a Muni train to the Giants' ballpark. Day games at both parks are fantastic.

Hey Garrett! As Joaquin stated, travel during the week for the best deals. Give yourself 90 minutes from the Springs to Denver. But you will want to arrive early to enjoy the great sport bars and National Ballpark Museum beforehand.

Weekdays (Mon-Thurs) are usually the best deals for ticket prices. If you're going to a 6:35 evening game you'll want to leave Colorado Springs in the afternoon so you don't hit traffic. Plan something to do in Denver before heading to the ball park
