Overall Rating: (1-10) 7
Notable Award: First retractable roof stadium in the US
Chase field in phx was built late 1990s. Still looks brand new. Was the first retractable roof stadium in the USA. In downtown phx and easy to get to with plenty of parking.
It’s a batters park with very little foul ground. Deepest point is 413 with mostly a 10 foot wall but in center it’s about 30 feet to the yellow line.
It’s an alright turnout. About 50% roof was closes because at game time it was 111 degrees out.
There is a hot tub pool in right center and a Fridays rest porch over left. Watch the game and eat at Fridays pretty cool. Similar to Toronto with the hard rock or Pittsburgh with the outback.
Nice place to watch a game. Nice views. Prices are below average. Only 12 to park and they had shot glasses here! For a retract roof stadium it’s not bad. The design of the roof is very much like housings but the side walls do not open
