I was recently contacted by a member of the Wounded Warrior Project who was contacted by the New York Mets and www.welcomebackveterans.org on my behalf.  This is a pretty amazing program.  During every game of the 2012 season the New York Mets will honor one veteran at the end of the third inning.  The veteran will appear on the Jumbo Tron and be thanked for his or her service.  They will be sitting in the first row behind the 3rd base dugout.  I will be taking part in this program on April 20th when the New York Mets take on the San Francisco Giants.  I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to experience this when I am on my trip.
If you know of any Veterans who would also like to take part in this program please pass on this information to them.
Dear Warriors, Active Duty Members, Veterans( of all generations and era’s) and Supporters;
Wounded Warrior Project is fortunate to once again be working with the New York Mets and their “Welcome Back Veterans” program (http://www.welcomebackveterans.org/).
The NY Mets would like to honor you and/or a family member that served (or is currently serving) in the United States Military. With this opportunity, the honoree will receive a total of four tickets for free (seats are located in the front row, on the 3rd baseline). During the 3rd inning, the honoree will be publicly recognized by the NY Mets. Your picture will be displayed on the play-by-play screen in center field and the announcer will read your military biography. Please note: this is for veterans from any era.
ANY ACTIVE DUTY MEMBER OR VETERAN WHO SERVED IN THE MILITARY (AND WAS DISCHARGED HONORABLY) IS ELIGIBLE TO BE HONORED BY THE NY METS.
YOU ARE NOT ELIGILBLE FOR THIS HONOR IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY PARTICIPATED IN THIS OPPORTUNITY. HOWEVER, YOU COULD GO AS A GUEST OF THE HONOREE.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, please send four (4) pictures via email along with your military biography and information requested below to Tony Ntellas, WWP Alumni Manager, at tntellas@woundedwarriorproject.org or 386.867.1955.
The pictures must be high resolution and, if possible, taken during your time in the military.

There is a chance that I may be going to that game.  I want to see the Giants this year. Need to wait a little while and figure out what I have going on but am looking at 1 of those games Most likely either this one or Sunday afternoon.
