Back from a very good trip to the pacific northwest. You could hardly ask for better weather or to see better pitchers. Saw Felix Hernandez pitch for the Mariners vs the Angels last Saturday. I also saw Mark Appel pitch for Stanford at Oregon and Mets pitching prospect Zack Wheeler pitch at Reno. The other Minor league stop (Tacoma) did not have a great pitching prospect, but it was the first time I saw Tim Stauffer(for Tuscon) who played high school ball locally (Saratoga,NY) pitch.
I also saw the other 3 pac 12 parks in the area(Washington, Washington St and Oregon State) I could certainly see why Washington is redoing their park for next season. And no spring trip is complete without adding in some "smaller" college baseball schools. Gonzaga, University of Seattle and University of Portland.

Craig Yes from the renderings I saw U Washingtons park is going to be real nice next year when renovated. I would love to get back and see it at some point, but since I don't get to the Pacific Northwest much my next trip has to be in June to see northwest league teams even those tlike Eugene who paly in the same park as U Oregon. I only have seen Everett and Vancouver on my June 2000 trip. Also would like to go back to Missoula which is not far from Spokane next time I am out there.
So glad to hear you had a great time out here in the Northwest. I went to the UW vs. Oregon State game- it was my first visit to UW's ballpark. I am excited to see what they will do with it!
