Ranking our top 27 ballparks

I guess collecting ballparks goes hand-in-hand with list making so I couldn't help but rank-order the 27 ballparks we have visited the last four years. In the process of making the list, I discovered the attribute most important to me was the stadium setting. I placed a higher value on the surrounding neighborhood, view from the ballpark, and being able to step back and enjoy the outside look of the ballpark itself. I left off the 3 ballparks we haven't visited yet (Tampa, Florida, and Kansas City) and the ranking reflects the 'old' New York stadiums. Another thing that jumped out in making the list was the high level of competition each stadium had. A stadium ranked #24 on my list is still a wonderful ballpark of which the locals should be proud. I also hate the corporate names, so here is the ranking by city/state name:

Comment by Chuck Booth (35) ALL 30/23 DAYS! on June 9, 2011 at 1:23pm: I think a lot of people will disagree with your assessment of the Boston and Chicago parks. Most of the publications and rankings based studies have always had these 2 parks in the top 5. These of course though are personal preferences. AT&T and Pittsburgh are good selections as 1-2 and Oakland is the worst.. I think if you saw TPA/FLA and KC they would probably round out your bottom 5.

It is a great ballpark and I believe is better than where the White Sox play, and Miller Park, and it is so much better than Atlanta. And Detroit isn't that great either. I think Citi has to be higher because it really is a great park
