For the past seven years me and my son (age 17) and a couple uncles (my best friends) go to Cooperstown for the induction ceremony. This has been a fun way to teach my son about the game and it's rich history. Since there is no real inductions this year, we decided to tour the mid-west.
The Players:
3 men in their mid 40's
2 teenage boys
The plan:
Drive roughly 2,400 miles in 5 days and see three games and tour one stadium (Arrowhead). We will visit Kansas City, St. Louis, and Cincinnati. Leaving Pittsburgh out since we have been to both the old and new stadiums.
Tour starts in 27 days!!!

It is a shame that cooperstown isn't worthy to you this year, but I understand. I have been to the induction ceremony every year since Tom Seaver(1992) and if I wasn't only 1 hour away I would probably end it this year instead of the year Jeter goes in. But you have a nice trip. KC has the negro league hall of fame and the jazz hall of fame in the same building. I recommend both.
Keep us posted. We are on the same trip, coming from VA, and stopping at Louisville Slugger on the way home. Safe travels.
Awesome! Great trip! Three of my favorite stadiums in the Midwest. You're all going to love St. Louis and Cincinnati doesn't get enough credit for being one of the better ballparks to watch a game in. Enjoy!
