Hello Chasers,
As baseball fans all across the country, I wanted to share with you a personal project I'm working on this season, aside from hitting a few ballparks of course.
I call it the "Great Baseball Race" and with it, I track the ups and downs of the divisional races as a simple line graph. You can see the hot and cold streaks through the weeks and how far back 5.5 games really is.
I update it every Monday and would love for yall to check it out and pass it on to your other baseball-loving friends.

Also, below is an example of my charts with the most interesting race going on right now, the AL East. Who woulda thunk the Fightin' Showalters would have Major's best record in the second week of May.
Thanks,
Z

Oh, that's right...you may be getting a "courtesy" letter from MLB if your site starts to get some attention!
Thanks, Craig. I'm not really trying to get any online notoriety from this project. Really I only post update information here and my personal Facebook page. But the internet has been known to do weird things. I just hope I don't get in trouble for using team logos.
I agree with Jack- it's a great idea! It will be interesting to see if you get any attention for it in the press, tv, blogs, etc.
Hey Jack, thanks for the compliment. I got the idea from last year's wild Game 162 where both the Rays and Cards snuck in to the playoffs when the teams ahead of them collapsed. I wondered what the difference between those teams looked like through the course of the season and how it all came to a head on the last day.
Hopefully we get something that exciting again this year. But probably not. Stupid two wild card rule.
This is so neat. How did you come up with the idea? I can't believe Orioles are over .600 in June!
