Alright, I'm gonna sound like the guy who yells at kids to get off my lawn (and I'm only 34), but here goes.Last night, I went to see my hometown Tigers take on the Indians. It was a great game. …Continue

Taking a quick midwest trip this weekend. Friday morning, I'm heading to St. Louis, this will be ballpark #20 for me (amazing to think I was at 8 at the start of the 2015 season). I'll get to see my…Continue

It's time to get back to chasing. I just graduated school today and I am starting a job on the 16th... so one of the best ways I could think of to celebrate is to hit the road to see some ballparks…Continue

My dad and I are taking a baseball road trip Wed-Sat of this week, I can't wait. It was actually about 5 years ago that my dad asked me if I was going to try to go to all of the MLB stadiums at some point. I had always liked going to different stadiums when I could but I had never made a point of traveling just to see stadiums or thought of seeing all 30 as a goal. At the time, I had seen I believe 5 of the current stadiums.
So, we'll be starting in Chicago to see the Dodgers play…

So I've now been to 13 current MLB parks. I thought I'd try to rank them in this post. I'm not going to include Citi Field because I went in 2010, before I became a true "chaser." So there will be 12. I had a good time at each park and would go back to any of them, I just like some more than others. Bear with me, this is long - I bolded the parks if you just want to quickly see my rankings w/o all the commentary.
12. US Cellular Field (went once, in 2013). Easy to get…

After the 2 games at Wrigley, I figured my next ballpark would be Chase Field in Phoenix, just after the All Star Break. I wanted to find out something about the park first, and that's when I came across Ballpark Chasers. This site has turned out to be an incredible resource!
In 2012, I was at a Tigers game with my dad when he asked me if I was going to try to get to all 30 MLB parks. That's when the idea started to really appeal to me. We had been to a few when I was a kid and I had…

I recently got back from an awesome road trip in which I drove about 7,000 miles total. I visited a lot of friends and family, saw and did some incredible things, and of course, went to a bunch of different ballparks.
Coming into this year, I had seen 8 current MLB parks and no current minor league ones, plus 4 defunct MLB parks and 1 defunct MiLB park. On my trip I saw a total of 11 games in 10 different parks - 8 MLB, 2 MiLB. Of these, 5 of the MLB parks were new to me and both MiLB…
ContinueHi Mike, my name is Dustin and I too are a ballpark chaser. I will be wrapping up my quest next spring when I head Boston, both New Yorks, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington with some buddies for a 40th Bday trip. I have previously been to Fenway, Yankee Stadium and Shea, but the friends I am traveling with have not and I have to re-do both New Yorks anyway. We are talking about adding PNC Park to this trip as well, I was there a few years back and just loved it. I will eventually have to re-do Atlanta, but that will have to wait a couple of years as I have some better multi-city roadtrips in the back of my mind before I head back to Georgia.
I remembered reading your blog about a trip out east and have a couple of questions that I hoped you could answer. 1) I aaume youe drove from Boston through New York and then onto Baltimore. I have done some research and the drives all seem pretty short, were you able to make it form city to city in good time or is the traffic in that part of the US a nightmare? 2) I was wondering if you were able to find a decent hotel at a decent rate in Boston and New York? Pretty much everything I see is outragously priced.
Thank you for any help/advice you can offer.
