MiLB Parks in the Pacific Coast League?

Hi Chasers,

Last year we crossed the finish line (30th MLB park in 5 years). This year, we will be touring the PCL and will visit Nashville, OKC, Albuquerque, El Paso and New Orleans.

Would appreciate any tips and local know-how to get the best experience possible.

The only one I've been to on this list is Oklahoma City. This ballpark is in the downtown Bricktown district- you'll have no trouble finding a parking spot nearby as there is a shopping district adjacent to the park. Toby Keith's 'I Love This Bar & Grill' is a place to eat beforehand, as is Mickey Mantle's restaurant. The ballpark itself has plenty of seating inside and you should have no trouble getting the seats you want.

There is a hotel across the street from the LF wall, I believe it's a Hampton Inn & Suites, and if you choose to stay there you'll have views of the field from your room.

I've driven past the Zephyrs ballpark in Kenner, LA. This is close to the New Orleans Airport. Parking will not be a problem here either as there is plenty of service parking available; there is nothing to do in the vicinity. I believe the Saints (NFL) train across the street as well.

Southwest University Park, brand new home of the El Paso Chihuahuas, was just voted Ballpark of the Year by the website BaseballParks.com. I am on the 20 game plan, and tell you this place is awesome. For beer, go to the main level behind the first base line. Look on the outer wall for a couple of very large glass door coolers. Its self serve. Grab the 25 ounce man cans for $8 , its the best deal in the stadium. If you get hot, got the the inside bars in the outfield, they are open to everyone, just dont try to take in any drinks or food, they will stop you at the door.
